he has been remixed by the likes of ricardo villalobos, joris voorn and more. rachmad is now hosting his own studio 80 based club night kis where he plays mesmerising extended sets. steve rachmad is welcomed to the vinyl-only offshoot drumcode limited. disturbance is a punchy little number that has a stuttering synth that rises over the top of the pounding kick drum. steps takes it up a notch with a simplistic bleep pattern that modulates throughout that is awash with a throbbing undercurrent.

white asega co-­owner jack dixon wrote new curtains after a friend who was coming wildly off the rails told him he was a good producer but his tunes were boring. the original version was really sparse and about 300bpm. when jack moved to new york the parts got lost, so he remade the track a dozen times. this was the version we all liked best, although jack never wants to hear it again in his life. it sounds tough and tropical. our friend troy gunner remixed it, and turned it into something so loud and slamming it will knock your teeth out. after telling jack to stop making boring music, mark kodiak spent two horrendous years working with jamie kodiak on a song they ve called taargus. it nearly destroyed their friendship forever but we think it was worth it. it has brutal weapon sounds, nasty snares and an incessant �yo� that has been described as �annoying and unnecessary�. the artist tom pounder has created a blinding video for it that contains brand new colours. french born bass genius bambounou stepped up to remix the track, taming the wild stems into a hypnotic early­morning house stepper. it took us approximately 2000 exhausting facebook group chats, four cross­atlantic flights and one divorce to get to this point. we hope you will enjoy this record for the rest of your lives. rip ken tulley.

backwards ep is the first collaboration between moodmusic head sasse and maurice aymard. backwards is a fresh take on house music with touches of disco, electronica and techno mixed in to the equation forming a beautiful mixture of forward thinking club music with a hands in the air factor. athabasca forms a perfect companion to backwards, taking a more disco approach to things and letting the steam build up before dropping into deep house territory. remixed comes courtesy of massimiliano pagliara and luvless.

the second of the untld protagonist series, by furz, savours the spirit of alfred tailor, an influential figure in the development of the bright young artist, whose first ep is strong and smooth, with raw energy, sultry and primal. the title track is remixed by laurine frost, who inspired by the south american hypnosis of the artist, takes it further, developing the dialogue and deepening the percussive structure, whilst maintaining the mystique and spirit of alfred tailor. the second original work on the record, entitled torino soul is an ode to the automobile of alfred tailor, it opens serenely as if racing through the valleys of cordoba s horizon, scenery rushing by on a hot day. amidst this, the mechanical metal of the engine revolves in it place, as we are rushed forward, and the voice heard a memory both of the machine and the man, alfred tailor.

next up on ellum witnesses the salubrious dino lenny delivers a double-header of epic proportions on his its saturday single. the a side its saturday� is a heavy as hell piece of colossal techno loaded with a kick like a mule and enigmatic vocals to boot. on the flip and we are indulged with another hefty affair i am changing, with another vocal led jacking heavy hitter with vocals courtesy of dino again. serious stuff for discerning dance floors, speakers beware! dino has been making music for since the late 90�s having remixed everyone from madonna to underworld, and have been championed by everyone from peter tong, the chemical brothers and maceo plex. this fantastic ellum debut is tantamount to his electronic wizardry.

the untold stories: protagonist series. records dedicated to the stories of some venerable but unsung historical figures. the first of the protagonist series was created by sil, and gives a glimpse into the spirit of the first such figure: tadeush konrad. sil, the pseudonym of kirill sylantev, who is more widely known for his work in the duo easy changes, now begins solo productions. for the untldpro series his work dedicated to tadeush konrad is of confident vibe, with much swing and rich with soulful flashes from times past. this work is then remixed by ztrl and hubble. first comes the ztrl remix, with energetic bass and a wealth of tones interrelating to great hypnotic effect. then on the b-side hubble s remix, an extended work, a floating journey of warm organic sounds, concludes the story and the spirit of tadeush konrad.

a1, entitled the weapon, is a pushy tune driven by sheer 909 rawness and that legendary dx7 bass we have come to love on many of jacob s tracks. a2, appropriately titled -from the underground (jmf s fatty rub), remixed by the english producer, jmf. keeping up with the energy of this release, a2 brings a tech-like jack vibe to the table. b1, entitled from the underground, is the original mix from which jmf reworked on side a. this track brings a tougher, darker vibe to the mix with a strong bass and steady pumping 909 riffs. b2, warehouse stomp, doesn t fall shy of its name.

the second release of rotterdam-based electronic emergencies is a 3-track 12- by the mysterious project sos of unknown origin. title track wallonie is a dark and melodic electrotech monster, while aqua is a broody and even darker affair. on the b side, wallonie is remixed by moustache records david vunk and electronic emergencies own spacemaker in early rotterdam techno style.
